Standards
Where possible, place CAFC steps in a separate job to open and close files to CICS.
Where possible, place backups of VSAM files updated in a separate job.
Where possible, place backups of sequential files in the same job that updated those files.
Use IDCAMS DELETE rather than ZAP to insure compatibility with packages that scan JCL for errors.
